How can I give my photographs a vintage effect?

I am a passionate photographer and would like to give my photos a vintage type effect. How can i do this in lightroom/photoshop? etc Is there a good pre-set anyone can recommend? Also can anyone recommend any websites that sell good quality pre-sets to give photos a different effect? Thanks
